Our meal was pretty disappointing but we shared the Nectarine Shortcake with some coffee and the dessert was just as disappointing, too. My husband's fish was OKAY but he wasn't overly impressed and the fish & fries needed seasoning. These were the WORST crab cakes I had ever had. The crab meat was not broken up and there wasn't much of a mix of seasoning. My crab cakes came and were formed into a round circle BUT THEY were not crab cakes and I have had MANY. For our entrees, I ordered the Colossal Lump Crab Cake and my husband ordered the Beer Battered Fish & Chips. This was a big surprise and we accepted the wine this way, but this was NOT the way a bottle of wine was usually served. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was delivered OPEN and a wine carafe. We both started with the Summer Melon & Cucumber Salad, which was not very appealing and rather tasteless even though it was melon and cucumbers. The dining rooms were updated with new seating and the fine dining was gone. We were seated inside and I noticed that all the murals were gone that represented the history of the community. I know that COVID 19 has caused many changes but the restaurant had a large patio and it appeared that people were coming there picking up food and eating it out on the lawn area. My husband and I decided to visit this place for dinner on Friday evening and were stunned to see the law covered with people. In those days the restaurant was a lovely "Fine Dining" place that needed a bit of updating, but the food was very good. I had known this restaurant when it was The Inn At Brookville Farms.
